Business Consultation

A scheduled session on structure, licensing or growth questions, with a written summary afterwards.

Sometimes the question is not which form to file but what to do. Whether to incorporate now or later, whether a particular arrangement creates a tax exposure, how to structure a deal with a partner, or whether a notice you have received is serious.

A paid consultation gives you a defined session with someone qualified to answer, and a written note afterwards recording the advice. That written record matters — advice you cannot later reconstruct is advice you cannot rely on.

What people usually bring to a session

  • Choosing between a proprietorship, LLP and private limited company
  • Whether a proposed transaction attracts GST, and at what rate
  • How to structure a founder or partner arrangement, and what to document
  • Whether a notice received is routine or needs a formal response
  • Restructuring an existing business, or bringing in an investor
  • Regularising past non-compliance without making the exposure worse
  • Whether a contract you have been sent is safe to sign

How to get value from the session

The most useful sessions are the ones where the documents arrive beforehand. Reading a notice, an agreement or a set of accounts in advance means the time is spent on advice rather than on background.

It also helps to be candid about what has already happened. Advice given on an incomplete picture is worth very little, and the things people are most reluctant to mention are usually the things that matter most.

What you receive

  • A scheduled session of the agreed length, by phone, video or in person
  • Discussion in Marathi, Hindi or English, whichever you prefer
  • A written note recording the advice and the reasons for it
  • A clear list of next steps, with anything time-sensitive flagged
  • An estimate of cost, where the next step is work we could do for you

How we handle it

  1. 1 Scoping the question We establish what you actually need answered, and whether it calls for an advocate, a chartered accountant or a business advisor.
  2. 2 Sharing documents You send the relevant papers ahead of the session so the time is spent on advice.
  3. 3 The session The session is held at the scheduled time in your preferred language.
  4. 4 Written note A written summary of the advice and the reasoning is sent to you afterwards.
  5. 5 Next steps Where action is needed we set out what it involves and what it would cost, without any obligation to instruct us.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get advice without engaging you for the work?

Yes. A consultation is a standalone service. Many clients take advice and then handle the work themselves or through their existing accountant.

Will I speak to a qualified person?

Yes. Depending on the question you speak to an advocate, a chartered accountant or a business advisor, not to a general support desk.

Is the discussion confidential?

Yes. What you share is treated as confidential, and communications with an advocate carry the additional protection the law gives them.

Can the session be in Marathi?

Yes. Sessions are held in Marathi, Hindi or English, whichever you are most comfortable with.

What if the answer needs research?

Where a question cannot responsibly be answered on the spot, we say so and come back to you rather than guessing. Any additional work is quoted before it is done.

What is not included. Government fees, statutory charges, stamp duty, court and registry fees, digital signature costs and any third-party professional charges are separate and payable at actuals. GST applies on professional fees where indicated. Prices shown are indicative and may change without notice; we confirm the total in writing before any work begins — see our terms on pricing.
