Privacy Policy

What information we collect through this website, why, who it is shared with, and your rights over it.

This policy explains what personal information PrimeLink Legal & Digital Services collects through this website, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and what rights you have over it.

It describes what this website actually does. Where we say we do not do something — such as advertising trackers — that is a statement of fact about the site as built, not a general assurance.

1. What we collect, and when

We collect information only when you give it to us through one of three forms.

  • Enquiry form — your name, mobile number, email address, the service you are asking about, and your message.
  • Document upload — your mobile number, your application reference, the document type, and the PDF files you upload.
  • Application tracking — your mobile number and your application reference.
  • If you contact us by telephone, WhatsApp or email instead, we hold whatever you choose to tell us in that message.

2. Documents you upload

Uploaded files are accepted in PDF format only, up to 5 MB each. They are transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored on our own server, not with a third-party file host.

These documents frequently contain sensitive personal information — identity documents, financial records, property papers. We treat them accordingly and restrict access to the members of our team working on your matter.

3. Why we collect it

  • To respond to your enquiry and advise you on the service you are asking about.
  • To carry out the work you instruct us to do.
  • To prepare and submit applications to the relevant authority on your behalf.
  • To keep you updated on the progress of your matter.
  • To meet our own legal, tax and record-keeping obligations.

4. Who your information is shared with

Submitting documents to authorities is the substance of what we do, so this is worth stating clearly rather than burying.

  • Government departments, registries and authorities — as required to make the application you have instructed us to make. This is the purpose for which you give us the documents.
  • Professionals we engage for your matter where it requires them, such as an advocate, a chartered accountant, a registered valuer or a certification body.
  • Our hosting and infrastructure providers, who process data on our instructions.
  • Where the law requires disclosure, or a court or authority orders it.

5. We do not sell your information

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not use it to market unrelated products to you.

6. Third-party services this website uses

  • Cloudflare — hosts this website and provides the bot-protection check on the enquiry form. It processes technical information including your IP address to distinguish genuine visitors from automated traffic.
  • Google Fonts — the site loads its typeface from Google servers, which receives a request from your browser including your IP address.
  • Google Maps — where a map is embedded on the contact or branches page, Google receives a request from your browser.
  • Our own application server, which receives what you submit through the forms.

7. Cookies and tracking

This website does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party tracking pixels. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising network and no behavioural profiling on this site.

The only thing stored in your browser is your language preference — whether you chose English or Marathi — kept in local storage so the site remembers it on your next visit. It contains no personal information and is not transmitted to us.

8. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are retained for a limited period and then deleted.

Where you instruct us, we retain the matter file and the documents for as long as the work is ongoing and afterwards for the period our professional and statutory record-keeping obligations require, which for tax and corporate records is generally several years.

You may ask us to delete documents earlier. We will do so unless we are required to retain them by law or need them to defend a claim.

9. Security

No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If a breach affecting your information occurs, we will inform you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

  • Information is transmitted over encrypted connections.
  • Access to client files is restricted to team members working on the matter.
  • The dashboard through which our team accesses submissions requires authentication.
  • Uploaded files are restricted to PDF and size-limited, which reduces the risk of malicious uploads.

10. Your rights

To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable period.

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete information, subject to our legal and professional retention obligations.
  • Withdraw your consent to further processing, though this may mean we can no longer act for you.
  • Raise a grievance about how your information has been handled.

11. Children

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from a child except where it forms part of a matter we are instructed on by a parent or guardian — for example a minor’s PAN application or a scholarship document.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The version published on this page at the time you use the site is the one that applies, and the date it was last updated is shown at the top.

Questions about this policy

If you have a question or a grievance about how your information has been handled, or about these terms, contact us and we will respond.
